Our Pastor
Reverend Tisha Williams is a proud product of Brooklyn, NY. She currently serves as the Sr. Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton in Bridgehampton, NY. She is the first woman to be elected to the office in the 96-year history of the church.
Pastor Williams is passionate about ministry and the work that God has called her to do. She has devoted her ministerial and professional careers to addressing the whole person as it relates to one’s spiritual and emotional well-being.
As the creator and facilitator of Who’s That Lady? she conducts and organizes in-depth bible studies and conferences that highlight women of The Bible. Who’s That Lady? has become an international ministry movement reaching as far as Kenya and Uganda. In July 2019, Rev. Williams in partnership with Restoring Hopes Ministries opened the Who’s That Lady? Academy for all Children a pre-school that educates and supports HIV positive children in Miwani, Kenya. In addition, her first book, “I See You, Sis: Inspirations from Heroic Women of the Bible Hidden in Plain Sight” is scheduled for a 2020 release.
Together with her husband, she created the marriage ministry program, “Your Marriage T.H.D. - Touched, Healed and Delivered”. It is their sole objective to share this program, using it to fortify and bless married couples all over the world. Using biblical principles and focused exercises, they help couples better understand marriage and God’s plan for it.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Christian Studies and holds a certificate in Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. In 2016, she became a Fellow of the Princeton Theological Seminary Black Theology and Leadership Institute and currently serves on the WIM (Women in Ministry) Committee of Princeton Theological Seminary. She is also a 2019 and 2020 Hampton University PRIME (Pastoral Renewal in Ministry Excellence) fellow.
Fun-loving and full of life, Pastor Williams is also a bit of an adventurist. She has successfully, sky dived, bungee jumped and completed a one-mile swim race in the Long Island Sound. In 2014, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa in support of the American Foundation for Children with AIDS. Her motto is, “she believed she could, so she did”.
Nevertheless, considering all her accomplishments, she is proudest of her roles as “Tia” to her amazing nieces and nephews, “G-Ma” to her eight beautiful God-children, “Mom” to her Kenyan son Moses and wife to, Deacon Lawrence Williams, her husband of 22 years.
Rev. Tish firmly believes that her life is a true reflection of Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
